THESE ARE MY FRIENDS

Solo Show at the SFAQ Project Space. This body of work mixed sculpture with amplified field recordings gathered from recent travels across the country. Sounds of Kansas thunder, dirt track racing, gas stations, lap steel guitars, and highways were amplified through "sculptural instruments". During the Opening Artists Julia Mazawa and Ryan Jobes did live solo performances that used field recordings.
